Can you guess how many people lived in this tiny thatched cottage at one time? Clue: itโ€™s more than 8! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Love this gingerbread home in Peppercombe, North Devon captured by @kirsten_wick . This mini thatched wonder is set in the Peppercombe Valley next to a path that leads down to a stony, deserted beach. It has a lovely orchard and small garden too. At the turn of the century, Bridge Cottage was the home of the Hockin family, who had a whopping 9 children! The cottage and its garden were beautifully kept, although of course there was no electricity and minimal plumbing. Don't worry - both areย available now if you wish to stay here. Ha! Aye, the Landmark Trust have made it available to rent. . Devon is gorgeous -ย have you been? Charles Dickens, Agatha Christie, Thomas Hardy, Jane Austen, Arthur Conan Doyle, RD Blackmore, Henry Williamson, Samuel Taylor Coleridge - to name only a few - all have links in one way or another with this part of Britain. . Itโ€™s Friday! We made it. Letโ€™s have a crumpet to celebrate! Ace shot by @kirsten_wick ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Want your Photos of Britain to be featured? I love this little cottage. I took some pictures of this myself last month. It's not only a beautiful cottage, but also such a beautiful spot for walking. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿก๐Ÿ’•

Love this - I was going to guess 12. Our house (similar size) used to have 5 children in the attic bedroom, and 4 adults on the floor below, and that was up to the 1950s!
