I came across this quote from Padre Pio, or should I say prayer. “My past, O Lord, to Your mercy; my present, to Your love; my future to Your providence.” _ It’s so simple and my heart could truly pray it. Pregnancy for me has not yet been a spiritual awakening and instead of turning any of my suffering into prayer, I just felt brain dead and soul dead. The days felt long and weary. So as I ease back into my old routines - I see the light at the end of the tunnel of the first trimester - this easy prayer is perfect for me. _ We move in less than 2 weeks. All my fears are stirring up - the sadness I’ll feel to not live in this city that I love, the loneliness that comes with moving to a new place without old friends, the hard work of rebuilding a community and settling into a new pace of life. _ And here I am reminded of the immensity of God’s providence. The joy in the surprises, the way He cares for all the little things. Today I’m choosing to put our future in that providence and stay present with the time we have left here (📦📦📦). _ If you’re stuck in your past, hand it over to His mercy. If you can’t seem to get into the present moment, turn it over to Love. If you’re worried about your future, remember His Divine Providence. @beaheartdesign beaheartdesign Be A Heart

So beautiful. Thank you sharing. I’m in the process of moving as well. It is hard, the whole process: the packing, the decluttering, making time for old friends, the goodbyes, the building up from nothing again, is scary. It’s exciting at the same time too. I took a snapshot of the prayer to keep it close and pray it as me and my family make this transition to new adventures. Be well!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful prayer. God is GOOD and he will continue to provide for your family. I bet you have some fans in your next city.... and having a little one will bring up opportunities to meet other people. Speaking from 8 moves worth of experience during my married life so far, God has incredible blessings in store for you! Prayers 😊

I first heard this prayer when Padre Pio relics came to my church. The church I will leave when I move on Tuesday. I can very much relate to your words on the difficulty of leaving, but excitement for what God has in store. Trusting, embracing, gratitude, knowing Jesus gives us peace, and Mary holds us close....all helping me to go forward. I’ll pray for you!

That prayer got me through grad school!!!! A French nun friend of mine shared it with me the week I started and I’ve never heard anyone else reference it! THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY! :)
